Brilliant I say !! Thanks for the link - I am a great believer of emergent behaviour and incremental game evolution based on user interactions (reason why I like Civ a bit ... some aspects of it are present in it). But this totally blows everything away !! I dont particularly like DnD style games ... dunno why , find it a bit too constrained - rule based within an (usually obviously) visible constraint set. But this looks absolutely brilliant I say - need to find more docs and read up :)
And lazy bum , you better come up with the next spore 2 before he does ;)
The idea seems to be incredible ! I like the part about "There goes my reputation as a ..." :D
The article seems to be nicely written , like all those thriller serials ... presents a really cool idea and then , more interesting stuff in next page !!!
Man , those screenshots are brilliant ! To think that all were modelled and generated - brilliant ! Any how the hell did he figure out the kinetics of the "creatures" ?!!
